Default I was stalking through kittie's posts (<3) and found a thread on Lasik surgery.. and

Just fyi, a lot of common vision ailments can be solved naturally through exercises involving the muscles that surround your eyeball.

I;ve been working on correcting mine for awhile (though not as completely and earnestly as I "should"... as prescribed by the exercise routines) and it really does work.

Some things about vision that may be fucking up your eyesight:

Emotional/Mental/Physical problems.. ie stress, so on..
Using one eye more than another, rather than in harmony
    bad habits involving computers/tv/reading
    not blinking enough

    The list goes on..

There are many products and online resources with the exercises and information.

About eyeglasses - they essentially lock your eyes into where they are @, preventing any healing.

Get you some infos before you go lazering layers off your eye, which you can never replace.. Because you won't heal the underlying problems causing the bad eyesight.. fucked up IMO. And if you do.. uh oh bad vision again.

    holla @ 4 more info

ROFL there goes my vision forever, I guess.
I have horrible, horrible vision. I have to wear either my contacts or glasses or I can't distinguish one object from the next 2 feet away. It's seriously really bad, and I wear contacts all the time so I guess that doesn't help. I've been wearing either contacts or glasses for more than 8 years and I seriously think LASEK is the only thing that can help. I have some blinging specs though and I do enjoy wearing them on occasion.

Dudes have healed their vision from near total blindness with bates methods etc.

When on computer, every 15 mins look out into the perspective at 5 different points.. for example.

it is very hard at first, but then you experience moments of perfect vision..
and then you notice that those moments of perfect vision become EVEN MORE clear, and things like perspective and depth return.. and even more vivid colors etc.. then those moments of vision begin to last longer and longer..

Sunlight is also very important in healing your eyesight (candlepower)

1 of the best tips is to embrace your "bad" vision.. Accept where it is, first of all.. with compassion. It sounds fruity to some but w/e. You have to realize where you are at and accept it to progress.

If you spend all your time h8ing your sight for example, no wonder it won't improve.

    You're probably right.. it's worth a shot.
From the time I was in 5th grade-9th grade, I had awful insomnia bouts and would sit at my computer all night looking at tiny code/making graphics/talking to people with similar sleeping habits. I read almost every night and I usually read by candle light and I would always have my contacts in or wear my glasses and never let my eyes adjust to the current setting on their own.
Though, my cousin and my aunt had the procedure done and they both have perfect vision/no side effects.

thats cool but their eyemuscles are fucked for instance and stuck that way.

Basically your eye is squished like a football if you are near sighted (like me)

and the other way for far-sighted..

maybe IDK about lasik enough to rant bout it

But I reckon if they ever heal their eye physiology, the lasik procedure will thus be mis-calibrated.

    :\

Go ahead and get lasik/lasek and dont address the root causation of the bad vision. Spend lots of money for the quick fix and live life blissfully ignorant.

    It makes total sense..

    What I'm saying is..pondeirng.. w/e

Is if someone can heal their vision naturally without surgery... right..

    er..

    damn

Ok so lets say one gets the surgery
and then later in life has profound healing that cures their vision ailments
    (hypthetical situaiton)

Will the results of the surgery then be defunct, seeing as how it was calibrated for a particular set of vision attributes that would no longer be true to a set of eyeballs that had been healed/nurtured back to proper function?

I've been considering it for awhile but never went through with it because I wanted to wait until I could see outcomes of past procedures/they've perfected the procedure/possibility of insurance covering it.. I'm still not going to jump at the opportunity to get it done immediately and I'll take into consideration what you said.

Also they don't cut off a piece of your eye and remove it. They peel back the cornea and then put it back down. It heals very fast.

No heal time is 1-3 days. You put eyedrops in for 7. Checkup appointment at 1 month, another one at 1 year.

Btw you can jump out of airplanes as a sky diver, but maybe not in the military if thats what you're saying. You just need to sign a consent form.

    ...i punch you in face

full heal time is 6 months, you can not do any high risk activities for 6 months due to relapses in vision, and the swelling in you eye and socket is slow to go down, any type of high pressure can pinch your ocular nerve no good...and if you were full cover goggles you *Can* jump but you gotta sign a consent form cuz its not safe!
