  1. #1

anyone have a solid setup (cheap + arm bar that supports it...) ...? ...and wats "max" that you would go...would like to get as large as possible ... (im guessing 24" prob? ...but would love to go 27" plus if possible)

    gratsi..

Idk about triple, but I saw this post with an arm that lets you move 2 monitors anyway you want

I figure it wouldn't be hard to get a third arm on there and then use 3, it would be the ideal setup with all that freedom.

    my personal setup

2x 24s and 1x 19 on the left. the two 24s are on a double arm and the 19 is on a single arm, the single arm being cheap and slightly off tilt but for the price i couldnt beat it and i dont give a shit. the 24s can swivel 360 deg. All at height adjustable with tools but all can turn left and right

nice arms cost more than the monitors themselves, like twice as much. would be nice but i don't find the cost worth it

Maybe if you have some super shitty generic TN panels, I have the Ergotron LX dual arm in the video above with two 27" ultrasharps and it was like $200 total off amazon and I can assure you 27" IPS panels are not $100.

@OP You cannot push three monitors off of any old computer and especially not a netbook, it sounds like you have no clue what what you are doing. If price is your only real concern you can find a solid dual monitor stand and two 24" panels for like $350 or a single 27" for a bit less.

not going to be running 3 monitors off a netbook :\...getting real comp...(started a thread about that a while ago..)

..is looking like 27" would be waaaay to big..

and for the 'arm' ..I kno they are expensive..but ran across one on newegg..and was only ike $90 (and some dude said he was able to get for $60 w/coupon..) ..reviews werent too bad.

I don't understand why you would want three monitors anyway, I can understand having the two in case you need to show someone else what you are doing or maybe if a buddy brings his lappy over you can hook it up for him but to have three copies of your screen just seems pointless.

Haha you idiot. Copies? Its called an extended desktop, each monitor can hold different windows...

I only run 2 monitors and really could use a third.

Code in one window, lives site in another window, third window for browser / IM clients / itunes...

lol b I had no idea what I was talking about..?....def extended monitor :\...

Monitor #3 (far right side) would pretty much always just be my 'TV' "movie" / media monitor. ....center monitor my main "work" ..and far left would be monitor for RDP 2 my windows 2k8 server / & extending anything that needs more space..etc..

my desk is pretty small tho...its a 'corner' desk..and as far as i can tell, prob no way I can get 3 27" ...prob not even 24 " :\...

...also..havent done a whooole lot of research on this.. but I think its ATI (and IM sure others have too) ..have something they call 'eyesenation' or something..not sure off top of my head--but lets you play across 2-3+ monitors 'seamlessly' (games/maybe movies) ...which would b pretty sick...
